Holoplot. With team-coaching and hands-on leadership, we delivered a critical piece of software for the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas, expanded the design system and reshaped the design org to support Holoplot’s fast growth.

Product

Holoplot is an audio software & hardware company. I was their interim product design manager in 2022/2023. I directly managed a team of 5 product designers.

As Holoplot prepared to launch the MSG Sphere, design lacked cohesion. Teams worked in isolation on deeply technical products, with no shared strategy, design system, or hiring structure in place.

Following a short strategy phase, we set out to align design with product and engineering, deliver key software on time, and build the foundations for a scalable design practice.

We took design from a support role to a strategic force. In close collaboration with product and engineering, we delivered CONTROL for the MSG Sphere on time, while scaling their design system, its performance measurement and aligning the OS 2.0 experience to our improved quality standards.

We introduced rituals, codified hiring process (2 more hires goal), and design principles. The result was faster delivery, supporting a nearly x2 ARR increase, and industry recognition (Best in Show award at the ISE 2024) — capped by Holoplot’s acquisition shortly after launch.
